These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the FindGeeks app, the FindGeeks website at findgeeks.profexint.com, and all related services (collectively, the "Services"). By creating an account, signing in as an Engineer, or using the Services in any other way, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
"FindGeeks", "we", "us", or "our" means Profex International (Hong Kong) Limited, the Hong Kong company that operates the Services.
"App" means the FindGeeks mobile application (iOS and Android), the FindGeeks admin web portal, and any related sub-domains, micro-sites, derivative works, betas, or replacements.
"Customer" means a User who creates job requests on the App and pays for IT services delivered through the App.
"Engineer" or "Geek" means an independent service provider who has applied to and been approved by FindGeeks to accept and perform jobs through the App.
"Job" means a single request for IT services created by a Customer and (when accepted) performed by an Engineer.
"Wallet" means the in-App stored-value account associated with each User, denominated in Hong Kong Dollars ("HKD"), used for paying for Jobs and (for Engineers) receiving payouts.
"User" means any individual with a registered FindGeeks account.
Throughout these Terms, "include" and "including" are illustrative and not limiting; "must" or "shall" indicates a mandatory requirement; singular includes plural and vice versa.
You must be at least 18 years old to register as a Customer or Engineer. By registering, you confirm that you are lawfully resident or present in Hong Kong, that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and up to date, and that you will promptly update it if it changes.
Engineers must additionally complete a verification process administered by our admin team. Until verification is approved, an Engineer account cannot accept Jobs. We may decline an Engineer application or revoke approval at our sole discretion if we have reason to believe the applicant cannot deliver IT services safely, lawfully, or to a reasonable standard.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
FindGeeks is a marketplace that introduces Customers to Engineers. We facilitate matching, payment, communication, and dispute resolution. We do not directly perform the IT services advertised on the App.
Engineers are independent contractors, not employees of FindGeeks. The contract for the IT services performed in any given Job is between the Customer and the Engineer; FindGeeks is not a party to that service contract. FindGeeks may, however, hold Job-related funds in escrow on behalf of the Customer until the Job is completed and confirmed.
Each Job category is associated with a fixed price tier — currently BASIC (HK$200), STANDARD (HK$400), or EXPERT (HK$600). The applicable tier and base price are shown in the App before you submit the Job request. The base price is frozen on your Job at the moment you submit the request; subsequent admin changes to the tier do not affect Jobs already created.
Customers may cancel a Job before an Engineer has accepted (no charge). After acceptance, cancellation releases the held funds back to the Customer wallet, but please contact support if the Engineer is already en route — this may inconvenience the Engineer and we reserve the right to investigate repeated late-cancel patterns.
Engineers should not abandon an accepted Job. The platform monitors completion rates as part of Engineer standing.
Customers fund their FindGeeks Wallet via credit or debit card on the hosted checkout page of our Hong Kong payment processor (currently BBMSL). Card details are entered on the processor's secure pages and are never stored by FindGeeks. Top-ups are credited to your Wallet immediately upon successful authorisation.
When an Engineer accepts your Job, the base price is moved from your "available" balance to a "held" balance. Approved extras are added to the held balance. On Job confirmation (manual or auto), the held balance is released to the Engineer's Wallet, less the platform commission. On Job cancellation, the held balance is returned to your available balance.
Engineers may withdraw earnings from their Wallet to a Hong Kong bank account at any time, subject to: minimum HK$100 per request; maximum HK$10,000 per request; maximum HK$20,000 per 24-hour period; maximum 5 withdrawal requests per 24-hour period. Withdrawal requests are processed within 48 hours during Hong Kong business days (Mon–Fri, excluding HK public holidays). We may temporarily hold funds during fraud or dispute review. Bank account details are encrypted at rest and used only to process your withdrawal.
FindGeeks deducts a platform commission from each settled Job. The commission percentage is published in the App and may be updated from time to time, with reasonable notice to active Engineers.
If a Job did not meet expectations, the Customer may open a dispute via the App's "Report an issue" flow. Disputes can be opened (a) at any time during the "pending customer confirmation" window, before confirming, or (b) within 7 days of confirmation/auto-confirmation. After 7 days post-completion, disputes are no longer accepted in-App; please contact support for serious issues.
While a dispute is open, the held funds are not released and any auto-confirm is paused. Our admin team will review the dispute (typically within 2 business days) and decide on one of: full refund, partial refund, or no action. The decision is final at our sole and reasonable discretion. Refunds are issued to your FindGeeks Wallet (not to the original payment method) unless required otherwise by law.
For disputes filed against a card transaction (top-up), please contact us first before initiating a chargeback — see our Refund Policy for details.
You must not use the Services to: (a) violate any law or regulation; (b) post or transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, threatening, or infringes the rights of others; (c) attempt to circumvent security, access controls, or the platform's commission model; (d) reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the App; (e) impersonate another person or account; (f) use the Services for any business not in accordance with their stated purpose.
Zero-tolerance content policy. FindGeeks has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. "Objectionable content" includes, without limitation, content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, discriminatory based on protected characteristics, glorifies violence, promotes illegal activity, contains private personal information of another person without consent, or is otherwise abusive. Posting such content is grounds for immediate removal of the content and termination of the account.
Reporting reviews and other content. Every customer review of an Engineer that another User can see is paired with a "Report" flag in the App. Tap the flag, choose a reason, and submit — the review is immediately hidden from public listings while our moderation team investigates. We aim to act on reports within 24 hours of submission. To report content that does not have an in-app Report flag, email findgeeks@profexint.com with "Content Report" in the subject line.
Blocking abusive Users. Customers can block an Engineer from the Engineer's profile screen (tap the ban icon). Blocked Engineers will not appear in your search results, recommendations, or matched-job pushes. You can unblock at any time. Engineers who repeatedly trigger blocks across multiple Customers may be suspended or terminated under §12.
Automatic content filtering. Customer reviews are passed through an automatic filter at submission time that rejects clearly profane or slurs-laden text. Legitimate negative feedback ("the service was poor", "the engineer was late", etc.) is not affected. The filter is intentionally narrow; the in-app Report mechanism above handles content the filter misses.
Removal and enforcement. We may, at our discretion, remove any User-submitted content that violates these Terms, hide content pending investigation following a Report, suspend or terminate the posting User's account under §12, and refer matters to law enforcement where appropriate. Decisions are final though may be reviewed via the contact channel in §18.
The FindGeeks name, logo, software, and content (excluding User-submitted content) are owned by Profex International (Hong Kong) Limited and protected by Hong Kong and international intellectual-property laws. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for its intended purpose. User-submitted content (photos, reviews, dispute messages) remains owned by the User; you grant FindGeeks a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display it as needed to operate the Services.
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, FindGeeks makes no warranties — express or implied — regarding the Services, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
FindGeeks is a marketplace and is not responsible for the work performed by Engineers, the conduct of Customers, or any damage or loss arising from the actual provision of IT services. Where IT services result in damage (e.g. data loss, hardware damage), the responsible party is the Engineer or Customer involved, not FindGeeks.
To the extent permitted by law, FindGeeks's total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to FindGeeks for the disputed transaction, or (b) HK$100.
FindGeeks is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we believe you have breached these Terms, are using the Services to defraud or harm others, or are otherwise behaving in a manner that puts the platform or its users at risk. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases. Wallet balances at the time of termination are subject to investigation; legitimate balances are returned (subject to applicable bank-transfer fees), illegitimate balances may be forfeited.
You may close your account at any time via the App (Profile → Delete Account) or by emailing findgeeks@profexint.com — see our Delete Account page.
Our handling of your Personal Data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
We may amend these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be notified to you in-App or by email. Your continued use of the Services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. The courts of Hong Kong have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or their subject matter.
These Terms do not grant any rights to third parties, including under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap. 623, Laws of Hong Kong). Only permitted assignees or transferees retain rights under these Terms.
If a Chinese translation of these Terms is provided, it is for reference only. In any inconsistency between the English version and any translation, the English version prevails.
