What Will Be Deleted
Your personal information (name, email, phone number, profile photo)
Your saved Hong Kong addresses
Your saved payment cards (the BBMSL token, last 4 digits, brand)
Your bank account details (Engineers — encrypted bank info for withdrawals)
Your remaining wallet balance (Customers cannot cash out — please use it on a Job first; Engineers should withdraw to their bank first)
Your reward points, redeemed coupons, and promotional credits
Your engineer qualification documents (Engineers)
Your job request photos, proof-of-completion photos, and extras photos
Your push notification tokens
Your app preferences and settings
Content-moderation reports you submitted (the review flags you raised) and any Engineers you had blocked — these are removed when your account is hard-deleted, so a deleted account leaves no moderation footprint behind
What Will Be Retained (Anonymised)
Anonymised transaction records (required for Hong Kong tax, accounting, and anti-money-laundering compliance — retained for 7 years)
Anonymised job and dispute history (records remain for operational reporting and audit but can no longer be linked to you)
An audit row in our deletion log (your identifiers are replaced with non-identifying placeholders) so we can prove that erasure was performed
Any outstanding payment obligations
Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please ensure (a) you have used or withdrawn any wallet balance, and (b) any pending withdrawal requests have been resolved before submitting this request.
Pending withdrawals (Engineers)
If you have any wallet withdrawal in "requested" or "processing" state, the deletion is paused until the withdrawal is resolved by our admin team — this is usually within 48 business hours. After the withdrawal completes (or is rejected and refunded to your wallet), the 30-day deletion countdown starts.
Processing Time
When you submit a deletion request:
Immediately — your account is deactivated. No new jobs can be created or accepted. You cannot sign in.
Within 30 days — your account and Personal Data are permanently anonymised or removed from our systems and from our processors (payment provider, push-notification relay, email provider).
You will receive a confirmation email at the address registered to the account once permanent deletion is complete.
Changing your mind: if you contact us within the 30-day grace window, our admin team can reactivate your account.
How to delete your account
Account deletion is initiated inside the FindGeeks app:
Open the FindGeeks app on your phone.
Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
Read the on-screen confirmation, tick the consent box, and tap Delete My Account.
Confirm with your phone number's SMS verification code.
If you have already uninstalled the app and cannot reinstall it, email findgeeks@profexint.com from the email address registered to your account, with the subject line "Delete My Account" and including your registered Hong Kong phone number for identity verification. We will process the request within 30 days.
